    Message from Dr. Suvit Yodmani

Thailand has had many tragic fire disasters in recent years, causing many losses of lives and property. In response,
the Fire And Rescue Association (FARA) was established with the aim of creating public awareness of fire prevention
and life saving techniques. The "Young Firefighters" project, which aims to train Thai youth in fire safety, is one of its
    commendable efforts towards this goal.

Following the success of the 1st Young Firefighters International Camp in Blacktown, NSW Australia last year,
FARA is organizing its second international camp scheduled for 18 April to 2 May 2002 in Korea. The Young Firefighters
Korea Camp will enable young participants to gain hands-on experience in fire prevention and rescue directly from
    Korea's National 119 Rescue Service.

I would like to congratulate FARA on its fine initiative in organizing the 2nd Young Firefighters International Camp in Korea. I wish the project and all young participants every success and safe trip back to Bangkok, Thailand.

  Dr.Suvit Yodmani
  Executive Director
  Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC)
  Advisor, Fire And Rescue Association
